BlackWhaleSMP is a community Minecraft server, not a commercial service. We collect minimal data and will never sell your information to third parties.
1. What We Collect
When you play on or interact with BlackWhaleSMP, we may collect:
- Minecraft username & UUID: required for whitelisting and player data.
- IP address: logged automatically by the Minecraft server software for security purposes.
- In-game activity: actions, chat messages, commands, and playtime for moderation and economy tracking.
- Discord username: if you interact with our Discord server for whitelist or support purposes.
2. How We Use It
- To manage whitelist access and player accounts.
- To enforce server rules and investigate rule violations.
- To maintain the in-game economy (balances, transactions, homes).
- To diagnose technical issues and improve server performance.
- To communicate with you about your account or ban appeals.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data may only be shared in the following limited cases:
- Server hosting providers: our host may have access to server logs as part of infrastructure management.
- Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect the safety of our community.
- Staff team: moderators and admins may access logs for rule enforcement purposes.
4. Data Retention
- Player data (balance, homes, playtime) is retained while the server is active.
- Server logs are kept for a reasonable period for moderation purposes, then deleted.
- If the server shuts down permanently, all data will be deleted.
- Banned players records may be retained indefinitely for security purposes.
5. Website
This website (blackwhalesmp) does not use cookies, analytics trackers, or collect any personal information. It is a static informational site. External links (Discord, Google Forms) are governed by their own privacy policies.
6. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
You may request:
- Access: to know what data we hold about you.
- Deletion: to have your data removed (note: this will result in removal from the whitelist).
- Correction: to fix inaccurate information.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the server after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
