By joining and playing on BlackWhaleSMP, you agree to these Terms of Service. Failure to comply may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the server.
1. General
BlackWhaleSMP is a private Minecraft server. Access is a privilege, not a right. The server administration reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued play after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility & Access
- You must own a legitimate copy of Minecraft (Java or Bedrock).
- You must submit your in-game username in #usernames on Discord to be whitelisted.
- Sharing your whitelist slot or account with others is not permitted.
- Alt accounts must be disclosed to staff before use.
3. Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly forbidden and will result in immediate punishment:
- Hacking / Cheating: Use of hacked clients, X-ray, auto-clickers, macros, or any unfair advantage.
- Griefing: Destroying, stealing from, or sabotaging another player's builds or property.
- Exploiting: Abusing bugs, duplication glitches, or unintended game mechanics for personal gain.
- Harassment: Targeting, bullying, threatening, or repeatedly disturbing other players.
- Hate Speech: Racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory language in any form.
- Scamming: Deceiving other players in trades, auctions, or agreements.
- Spam: Flooding chat, commands, or Discord channels with repetitive messages.
- Impersonation: Pretending to be a staff member or another player.
4. Chat & Communication
- Keep chat respectful and in English (or the language of the channel).
- No advertising other servers, services, or external links without staff approval.
- Excessive caps, symbols, or emoji spam is not allowed.
- Discussions of illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
5. Builds & World
- Do not build within 100 blocks of another player's base without their permission.
- Lag machines, excessive redstone clocks, or builds that intentionally degrade server performance are prohibited.
- Inappropriate builds (offensive structures, symbols, etc.) will be removed without warning.
- Abandoned builds may be removed by staff after extended inactivity.
6. Economy
- Real-money trading (RMT), exchanging in-game items or currency for real money, is strictly prohibited.
- Auction house and shop listings must be fair and not intentionally misleading.
- Staff will not reverse economy transactions resulting from player error.
7. Enforcement & Punishments
Punishments are applied at staff discretion based on severity and history:
- Verbal warning: minor first offences.
- Mute: chat-related violations.
- Temporary ban: repeated or moderate violations.
- Permanent ban: severe violations (hacking, hate speech, major griefing).

8. Staff Authority
- Staff decisions are final. Arguing with or disrespecting staff may result in punishment.
- If you believe a staff member acted unfairly, report it privately to an admin.
- Staff will never ask for your Minecraft account password.

BlackWhaleSMP is not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. We provide no guarantees of uptime, data retention, or continuity of service. The server may be shut down or reset at any time without prior notice.
